Featured Kigurumi Special: Koyuki Kurosaki's Sneaky Kigurumi Onesie!
Ni~ha~ha~!
This year's end brought us an unexpected treat with "Secret Midnight Party" – a Blue Archive event starring our favorite troublemaker Koyuki in what might be the most adorable escape attempt yet. Caught between a midnight gaming session and inevitable pursuit, Koyuki spends the entire event decked out in a cozy bunny kigurumi that perfectly matches both her codename and her current predicament.
Seeing Millennium's notorious escape artist donning a cream-colored kigurumi with floppy ears, jagged teeth, and a blue bow accent feels both ironic and perfectly fitting. The design itself is delightfully simple – classic kigurumi proportions with a white belly panel and those signature bunny ears on the hood. But what makes it special is how it appears throughout the event, whether Koyuki's attempting to sneak through dark corridors or getting caught up in impromptu gaming sessions.
What makes this particular costume more interesting is its curious status in the event itself. Eagle-eyed Senseis might remember catching a glimpse of Koyuki in this very bunny kigurumi during Blue Archive's 5th PV, sparking early speculation about an eventual sleepover-themed event.
Now that the event has finally arrived, it's almost ironic that while Koyuki and her long-anticipated bunny kigurumi take center stage in the story, the actual implementation gave us Yuuka and Noa's pajama alternates instead. It's an intriguing choice that has sparked even more discussion among Senseis – especially given how prominently the bunny kigurumi features in key story moments, from that first startled discovery in the locker to the chase sequences that follow.
What starts as Koyuki's attempt at a peaceful card-opening session in the Reflection Room (where she's supposedly reflecting on misusing school funds) quickly spirals into a chaotic midnight chase when she tries to lure Sensei with rare limited edition cards. One thing leads to another, and suddenly we have Yuuka and Noa organizing an impromptu pajama party intervention, security drones on high alert, Veritas with their complicit shenanigans once more, and poor Sensei getting dragged into playing the Truth or Dare (non-alcoholic) drinking game - with Koyuki's suspicious mixed juice concoction as the penalty drink.
Following Blue Archive's event patterns, the absence of Koyuki's bunny kigurumi during this event is particularly telling - especially given she's practically the main focus. Typically, event protagonists are available immediately as free welfare students if they're not part of the 3-star banner lineup. The fact that Koyuki is nowhere to be found despite being the literal face of the event, simply means we can expect her to return as a 3-star student when Secret Midnight Party makes its inevitable rerun.
...or maybe Noa was actually the main character of this event all along?!
